Garmin’s GTR 205 and GNC 215® radios offer a big jump in capability without demanding more room in the panel. Both share a slim 1.3″ bezel height, full-color display and intuitive interface; the GTR 205 focuses on comm, while the GNC 215® adds VOR/LOC/ILS navigation with glideslope.
GTR 205 COMM Radio and Audio Panel
The GTR 205 is a 2,280-channel VHF comm radio with 10 watts of transmit power as standard and an available 16-watt option. It supports 25 kHz and 8.33 kHz spacing, includes a frequency database and lets you monitor the standby frequency while staying on your primary.
GNC® 215 Nav/Comm Radio
The GNC 215® adds full VHF nav capability — including VOR, localizer and glideslope — on top of the comm features you get in the GTR 205. A large, bright color display makes frequencies and nav information easy to read, and a built-in database helps you quickly look up navaids and stations.
